Letter "E"
This week as we study the letter "E" we are learning about Elephants...How big they are and what they eat. We have read the story "Elmer" by David McKee and colored our own Elmer. We have also been taking about the shape "oval" since eggs are oval and egg starts with the letter "E". With the subject of eggs we have introduced the story "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr Seuss. Next week as we continue with the letter "E" we will actually make green eggs and ham. Depending on your child's class period we will do this Wednesday and Thursday Jan 23 and 24th for breakfast. Most of the children have said "I dont like green eggs and ham" but with past experience most will try them. So please help us encourage each child to just take one bite. We hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Happy New Year!
Hello All,
We hope you all had a wonderful holiday! We have been so busy getting back in the swing of things we have not had a chance to update anything. We are off to a great start here at pre-k. Since we have been back we have study the letters D and E, the number 7, and the shape oval. We have continued to work on our scissor skills and we have really been practicing writing our names. The children are moving right along. Please continue to help them each night with their homework and practice writing their name. Thank you for sharing them with us and we hope you have a blessed 2013!!
